Little Harvest Farm

Little Harvest Farm is a homestead in Powder Springs Georgia owned by Delroy and Jenna Dennisur. As first-generation farmers Delroy and Jenna hope to leave the next generation (including their 3 daughters) with a more healthy, sustainable and equitable food system, as they strive to educate themselves in sustainable and innovative farming practices with the goal of being good land stewards.

I got involved in this project after Jenna and Delroy reached out to me on Instagram to capture photos of their farm. If you are interested in my photography or videography services, you can contact me at (404) 960 - 0502 or Explorer.Dream.Discover@Gmail.Com

On the farm there is a growing market garden, dairy goats, and laying hens and practices regenerative agriculture as an approach that gives back to the land where the result is heartier soil that is nutrient-rich. Little Harvest Farm does not use unsafe chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides, only sustainable, ecologically friendly practices to build rich soil and create a balanced ecosystem and healthier crops on the farm, thus, achieving greater wellbeing for everyone. Little Harvest Farm strongly believes in equity and access to healthy food systems for all.

The farm is a 7-acre farm starting its first growing season. They’re highly focused on regenerating the land and building good soil. They’ve incorporated small livestock on the farm like chickens, goats, and donkeys to help with soil building and they're heavily utilizing cover crops and sheet mulching in the process.

Jenna and Delroy are excited about the work they’re doing and the responses they’re getting so far from the community. They have already had 2 successful community volunteer events on the farm and we are looking to continue to impact the community through an education series. Education at Little Harvest Farm will range from teaching the values of sustainable farming to soil fertility to life skills thru hands-on application. They also have plans to engage older community members to ensure that their valuable farming knowledge is passed along to future generations.

“Our goal is to bring people back to nature through the food we grow, our educational series, community events.” - Jenna Dennisur

Last year in the midst of the pandemic, social unrest, and all the other surprises that brought us so much anxiety, Delroy and Jenna decided to fulfill their dream of buying a farm to connect back to the land and nature. They aimed to live more passionately in spite of what may be going on around us during such a dim year.

Along with the farm, they offer an exclusive glamping experience on a secluded suburban farm for campers, cyclists, and nature lovers. Enjoy solitude, romance (couples), or family time and be inspired by nature. Located on a 7-acre family farm, the spacious 16 ft diameter yurt brings you the best of luxury camping and farming for the ultimate glamping experience. Collect farm fresh eggs daily, pick fresh herbs & vegetables, pet animals, or hike/bike ride at the 200-acre state park trail next door which features a river & creek.
