The illegal trafficking of animals is one of the most lucrative illicit markets in the world, it’s estimated that the wildlife trade will bring in 23,000 million dollars a year, according to the United States Department of State, which puts it in direct connection with the drug and arms trafficking. These animals have different places where they are brought as trophies, jewels, fur, leather, sold as pets, and used in the medical industry as test subjects.
